The Toyota Aygo is the ultimate city car. Its compact design makes it exceptionally easy to handle and economical to run. Despite its small exterior, there’s ample space inside for 4 passengers and their luggage.

While the Toyota Aygo shines as a city vehicle, it’s also suitable for short excursions outside of town. If you're planning to explore the Golden Circle, the Reykjanes peninsula, or Snæfellsnes from Reykjavík, the Aygo is an affordable and convenient option. However, it's important to note that the Aygo is not allowed to drive on F-roads in the highlands, where a 4x4 is required.

For longer road trips, it may be more comfortable to opt for a larger vehicle, such as an estate car or a 4x4 SUV, especially in snowy conditions.

Who can hire a Toyota Aygo?

To rent a Toyota Aygo, you must be at least 20 years old, which is the minimum age for any vehicle rental from Höldur. You'll also need:

• A valid driving licence, which you’ve had for at least one year
• A credit card, that’s valid for at least the period of rental
• A passport, to prove your identity.

We recommend booking your rental vehicle in advance, as models like the Toyota Aygo are popular and may quickly go out of stock.
