The Volkswagen Caddy Maxi is a comfortable and practical multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), otherwise known as a people carrier. It comes with seven seats as standard to fit large groups or families—and plenty of luggage.

It’s a great choice if you’re not super-experienced driving larger vehicles. That’s because it handles, steers, and brakes like a car. The only difference is that the VW Caddy is a little taller, and you’re likely to be driving it with more people in it.

The VW Caddy Maxi is the best choice for large groups or families. It will be overkill for solo travellers or couples as it seats up to 7 people. It’s also important to remember that you can’t drive it in the highlands.

• A valid driving licence, which you’ve had for at least one year
• A credit card, that’s valid for at least the period of rental
• A passport, to prove your identity.
